RichPOS Desktop for Linux
=========================

The RichPOS window opens https://app.richdaddy.in. It needs internet. Your login is
remembered between runs. Links such as WhatsApp (wa.me) and richdaddy.in open in your
normal browser. Downloaded Excel/PDF files are saved in your Downloads folder.

Install
-------
Ubuntu / Debian / Linux Mint (22.04 or newer): sudo apt install ./RichPOS_1.0.0_amd64.deb
Any other 64-bit distro: chmod +x RichPOS_1.0.0_amd64.AppImage and run it (needs libfuse2;
on Ubuntu 24.04: sudo apt install libfuse2t64).

Thermal printer (auto print of invoices)
----------------------------------------
On the first launch RichPOS copies its print agent to ~/.local/share/RichPOS/ and adds
~/.config/autostart/richpos-print-agent.desktop, so it starts at every login (no root).
Pair once: menu Printer > Printer setup (it also opens on the first launch), enter the store
admin username and password, pick the printer (CUPS printers; the default is preselected) or
"Add LAN / WiFi printer" with its IP, choose 80 or 58 mm, Save printer, then Test print.

USB thermal printers must be a CUPS queue first (Settings > Printers, or
http://localhost:631). RichPOS sends raw ESC/POS with lp -o raw. LAN printers (port 9100)
need nothing.

Remove the print agent: menu Printer > Remove print agent (stops it, removes the autostart
entry, the token and the log). Log file: ~/.local/share/RichPOS/agent.log
