Create your token in RichPOS

Log in to RichPOS, open Owner Tools → AI Connect, type a name (for example "Claude on my laptop"), pick an expiry (30, 90 or 365 days) and press Create token. Copy the rpmcp_… token right away: it is shown only once. The same page shows the server address:

1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins (older accounts: Settings → Apps → Advanced → Developer mode, then Create).
2. Press +, then Add custom MCP server. Name it RichPOS.
3. Server URL: paste the RichPOS server address.
4. Authentication: choose OAuth and sign in with your RichPOS login (coming soon).
5. Accept the warning, press Create, install it, then type @RichPOS in a new chat.

ChatGPT's custom MCP servers sign in with OAuth or no sign-in at all. They have no box for pasting a token. RichPOS v1 uses a token, so ChatGPT connects once we add "Sign in with RichPOS". Custom MCP servers are also limited by ChatGPT plan: Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces, where an admin may have to allow it.

Claude Works today on some accounts

1. Open claude.ai → Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. (Team / Enterprise: an Owner adds it in Organization settings → Connectors.)
2. Name: RichPOS. MCP server URL: paste the RichPOS server address.
3. Authentication: No sign-in.
4. Request headers: pick authorization and enter Bearer followed by a space and your token (Bearer rpmcp_…).
5. Press Add. In a chat, turn RichPOS on from + → Connectors and ask your question.

Claude takes a token through Request headers. That option is a beta Anthropic is opening to a limited set of accounts. If you don't see Request headers, use Claude Code or Cursor (below) for now, or wait for "Sign in with RichPOS".

Other MCP apps (Cursor, Claude Code, …) Works today

Any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and a custom Authorization header can connect.
