The problem

Common problems at the counter

Paper slips get lost

A torn token or a missing register page means you cannot tell whose phone is in the drawer, what was wrong with it, or whether the charger came with it.

Customers call all day for status

"Bhaiya, phone ready hua?" Each call pulls the technician away from the bench. Without a clear status, nobody at the counter knows the answer.

Parts used but never billed

A display or battery goes into a phone, but the part is never cut from stock or added to the bill. The shop loses money without noticing.

Phones left uncollected

Repaired phones pile up for weeks because nobody reminded the customer. Your cash stays stuck, the drawer gets full, and old jobs get mixed up with new ones.

Billing & POS

A day with RichPOS

From opening to closing

Receive the phone

Take down the customer number, device, IMEI, problem and what came with it, such as a SIM tray or back cover. The customer gets a WhatsApp confirmation.

Repair and add parts

The technician marks the job as repairing and adds the parts used. Stock for those parts reduces on its own, so the spare count is always right.

Mark ready and inform

Change the status to ready. The customer receives a WhatsApp message, so the phone is picked up sooner.

Deliver and bill

Create the bill with parts and labour, take payment and mark the job delivered. Reminders show any phones still waiting for pickup, and the owner sees every pending job before closing the shutter.

FAQ

Common questions

What does mobile repair shop software do?

Mobile repair shop software records each phone you receive as a job, tracks its status until delivery, keeps a list of parts used and creates the bill at the end. RichPOS also sends WhatsApp messages to the customer when the job is received and ready, and reminds you about pending repairs and uncollected phones. It costs ₹199 a month after a free 30-day trial.

How do I track repair status for each phone?

Every job in RichPOS moves through four steps: received, repairing, ready and delivered. Staff update the status as work progresses, and anyone at the counter can open the job list and see where a device is. This stops guesswork when a customer calls, and the owner can see at a glance how many phones are still pending at the end of the day.

Can customers get WhatsApp updates about their repair?

Yes. RichPOS sends a WhatsApp message to the customer when the phone is received and when it is ready for pickup. Bills can also go out on WhatsApp, SMS or email. Most shops find this cuts down the number of status calls during the day.

How are spare parts handled?

Spare parts such as batteries, displays and charging ports are items in your inventory. When a technician adds a part to a job, it is cut from stock and included on the final bill. Low-stock alerts warn you before common spares run out. Record parts bought from your supplier as purchases, so you know what each spare costs you.

Is GST charged on mobile repair services?

Repair services and parts generally attract GST if your shop is GST registered, and the rates for service and parts can differ. Confirm the right SAC/HSN code and rate with your CA. In RichPOS you set the tax on each service and part, and the repair bill applies it.

Can one person run intake and another do repairs?

Yes. Staff users are unlimited on paid plans, and you can give each person access only to what they need. The counter staff can create jobs and bills while technicians update status and parts. The activity log shows who did what. Note that the free trial allows one user.

What if a customer does not collect a repaired phone?

RichPOS reminds you about jobs marked ready but not yet delivered, so uncollected phones do not sit unnoticed in a drawer. The customer has already received a WhatsApp message when the job was ready, and you can follow up with a call or message. Clearing these jobs faster frees up space and brings in the repair money sooner.

Can I sell covers and chargers from the same software?

Yes. RichPOS is a full billing and stock system, not only a repair tracker. You can sell accessories, screen guards and phones at the counter with barcode billing, and run repair jobs from the same account. Your sales, repair income and stock all show up in one set of reports for the month.
