Billing Software for Medical Stores and Chemists
Batch aur expiry ka hisaab, pehle expire hone wala maal pehle bike.
RichPOS tracks every medicine by batch number and expiry date, picks the batch that expires first when you bill, and blocks expired stock at the counter. It makes GST bills on thermal or A4, keeps dues for regular customers and costs ₹199 a month after a free 30-day trial.
₹199/month or ₹2,000/year after the trial · No card needed
Common problems at the counter
Expired strips found too late
Stock that expired last month is still on the shelf. You notice only when a customer points it out, and by then the supplier's return window has passed.
Which batch did we sell?
A batch is recalled or a customer comes back with a complaint. Without the batch on the bill, finding who bought it means searching paper.
Monthly patients on credit
Regular patients take medicines every month and pay later. The dues sit in a notebook and are easy to miss.
Distributor bills pile up
Every distributor bill has ten batches and expiry dates. Typing them in late means stock and expiry data are always behind.
Built for the way you sell
Batch and expiry on every tracked item
Switch on batch tracking for medicines. Each purchase line takes the batch number, expiry and, if you want, MFG date and MRP.
- Batch no., expiry, MFG and MRP per batch
- Existing stock moves into an opening batch
- Items you don't track stay simple
FEFO billing that skips expired stock
At the counter RichPOS picks the batch that expires first. Expired batches are blocked for staff, and only the owner can confirm one.
- Change the batch on the cart row if needed
- Batch and expiry printed under the item on the bill
- Sales returns go back to the right batch
Expiry page: 30, 60 and 90 days
See what has expired and what will expire soon, with quantity and value at purchase price, so you return or push it in time.
- Count strip for expired / 30 / 60 / 90 days
- Value of stock at risk
- Purchase returns take from the right batches
Dues for regular patients
Bill monthly patients on credit. The balance goes to their ledger and you can send a WhatsApp payment reminder with the amount.
- Customer ledger with every bill and payment
- Part payments by cash, UPI or card
- Bills sent on WhatsApp
GST reports and purchases
Set the GST rate and HSN on each item. Sales and purchase reports group by HSN and rate, and the Tally export saves your CA the typing.
- Supplier ledgers and purchase returns
- AI can read a photo of a purchase bill
- Export to Excel, CSV, PDF or Tally
From opening to closing

Closing: cash and dues
Close the cash drawer, see staff sales and send reminders to patients with pending dues.
What to look for before you choose
- Batch number and expiry on each purchase line, not just one expiry per item.
- FEFO selling that picks the earliest expiry by itself and blocks expired stock.
- An expiry report for 30, 60 and 90 days with the value at risk.
- Batch and expiry printed on the customer's bill.
- Customer dues with reminders for monthly patients.
- GST reports by HSN and an export your CA can use.
- Check separately how you will keep any registers your drug licence requires; billing software alone may not cover them.

What is the best billing software for a medical store?
A medical store needs batch and expiry tracking, FEFO billing, expiry alerts, GST bills and customer dues. RichPOS covers these in the browser for ₹199 a month or ₹2,000 a year, with a free 30-day trial, so you can test it with your own medicines first.
Does RichPOS track batch numbers and expiry dates?
Yes. Turn on batch and expiry tracking for each medicine. You enter batch number and expiry (and optionally MFG date and MRP) on the purchase bill, and the bill shows the batch and expiry under the item.
Will it stop my staff from selling expired medicine?
Yes. The POS picks the earliest-expiry batch and skips expired ones. Staff cannot bill an expired batch; only the owner can confirm it.
Does RichPOS keep Schedule H or drug licence registers?
No. RichPOS does not keep Schedule H/H1 registers, prescription records or other drug-licence registers. Ask your pharmacist or CA what you must maintain and keep those records separately.
Can I bill a strip and a full box?
Yes. Set the base unit and add another unit, such as 1 Box = 10 strips, with its own barcode and price. Stock stays in the base unit.
Can it make e-invoices or e-way bills?
No. RichPOS does not generate e-invoices (IRN) or e-way bills. It makes GST bills and GST-ready reports, and exports to Tally for your CA.
Can I give medicines on credit to regular patients?
Yes. Any unpaid amount goes to the patient's ledger. You can take part payments and send a WhatsApp reminder with the due amount.
