How udhaar tracking works
Bill on credit
Make the bill for the customer and take part payment or nothing. The unpaid amount is saved as a due on their account; no separate diary entry.
See every due
The customer list shows each person's due. Open a customer's ledger to see every bill, payment and return with dates, and print it if they ask.
Send a reminder
Click to send a WhatsApp payment reminder that carries the customer's name and due amount. These messages are sent from the app and use WhatsApp message credits.
Receive payment
When the customer pays, record cash, UPI or card against their account. The due comes down and you can print a receipt.
Bring them back (free)
In Customer Connect, send offers, birthday wishes and 'we miss you' messages through wa.me links you tap on your phone. No WhatsApp API and no credits.

Questions shop owners ask
How do I keep an udhaar khata in RichPOS?
You don't keep a separate khata. When you make a bill for a customer and they pay less than the total, the balance is saved as their due. The customer ledger shows every bill and payment, so the khata builds itself from your billing.
Can I send a payment reminder on WhatsApp?
Yes. From the customer list you can send a WhatsApp payment reminder that includes the customer's name and the amount due. These reminders are sent by the app through a WhatsApp messaging service and each one uses a WhatsApp message credit.
What is Customer Connect and does it cost extra?
Customer Connect is a page that builds customer lists (all customers, recent buyers, customers who have not visited, top spenders, loyalty point holders, birthdays) and gives you a wa.me link for each one. You tap the link and send from your own WhatsApp, so there are no credits or API charges.
Can I add old udhaar from my diary?
Yes. When you add a customer, enter their old balance as the opening balance. It shows on their ledger and is included in the due amount on reminders.
Can a customer pay part of the due?
Yes. Record any amount by cash, UPI or card against the customer. The due reduces by that amount and the payment shows on the ledger with its date.
Will the customer see a proper statement?
Yes. You can print the customer's ledger with every bill, payment and the closing balance, or send their bills on WhatsApp, so there is no argument about what is pending.
