GST rate and HSN code for television

Quick answer

GST on a TV is 18% (HSN 8528) from 22 September 2025, for every screen size. PIB lists TV sets under 8528 moving from 28% to 18%. The entry also covers LED and LCD TVs, computer monitors, projectors and set top boxes. A 55-inch TV sold after 22 September 2025 carries 18%, not 28%.
