Sales minus marketplace fees and cost becomes the margin per unit

1. Sales, fees and cost

You keep ₹15.53 a unit (15.53%). Blinkit's fees take 24.47% of sales before GST, storage alone 3.16%: check slow stock. ₹951.00 of the deductions (GST on fees, TCS and TDS) can be claimed back, so profit counts them as credits, not costs.

How to use it

  1. Enter sales and returns. Units sold in the period, the selling price per unit including GST, units returned and the product's GST rate.
  2. Enter your Blinkit rates. Commission %, shipping per order, return charge per returned unit and the storage or aging charges for the period, all before GST, from your own agreement or last payout sheet.
  3. Add TCS, TDS and your cost. TCS and TDS rates (check them with your CA) and your purchase cost per unit before GST.
  4. Read the payout and margin. The net payout Blinkit should send, the profit per unit after fees and cost, the margin, and how much of the deductions you can claim back.

Questions

How is a Blinkit payout calculated?

Start from the customer payable (sales less returns). Blinkit deducts its commission, shipping and customer return charges, each with GST, plus TCS and TDS (section B of the Payout Breakup), inventory charges such as storage, aging, recall and courier with GST (section C), and adds or deducts other items such as compensation for lost or damaged stock and reimbursements (section D). What is left is the net payout.

Are TCS, TDS and the GST on Blinkit's fees a loss?

Not usually. GST charged on Blinkit's fees can be claimed as input tax credit against Blinkit's invoices, and TCS and TDS deducted from you can be claimed in your GST and income-tax returns. That is why this calculator counts them as credits, not costs, when it works out profit. Confirm with your CA.

Why is my real margin lower than the price difference?

Because commission, shipping, return charges and storage are taken on every cycle, and returned units earn nothing. Storage and aging charges on slow stock can quietly eat the margin of an item; the calculator shows the share fees and storage take of your sales.

Where do I get the rates?

From your Blinkit agreement and your monthly payout files. The rates differ by seller and category, so this tool does not assume Blinkit's numbers; it uses the ones you enter.

Does this replace reconciliation?

No. It is an estimate for one item or period. To check every line of an actual payout, settlements by UTR and item-wise profit, RichPOS Marketplace Accounts reads Blinkit's payout files and invoices (early access).

Does it work for Zepto, Instamart, Amazon or Flipkart?

The arithmetic (sales, commission, shipping, storage, returns, TDS) applies to any marketplace if you enter that platform's rates, but the sections and labels follow Blinkit's payout sheet.
