Loyalty Points, Automatic Offers and Gift Vouchers in Your Billing Software

Quick answerRichPOS gives customers loyalty points on every bill and lets them redeem points at the counter. You can run automatic offers, such as 10% off on bills above ₹2,000 or buy 2 get 1 free, which apply by themselves on the POS. Gift vouchers and credit notes get a code that is redeemed on the next bill.

How it works

How loyalty, offers and vouchers work

  1. Switch on loyalty points

Loyalty is off until you turn it on. Set how many rupees earn one point and what one point is worth when redeemed.

  2. Create an offer

On the Offers page, choose 'bill above X gets Y% off' or 'buy X get Y free', set the dates and switch it on.

  3. Bill as usual

The POS applies running offers by itself and shows them under Payable. Select the customer to see their points balance and use points if they want.

  4. Issue vouchers and credit notes

Sell a gift voucher, or give a credit note instead of cash back on a return. Each gets a code like GV-XXXXX or CN-XXXXX and a printable slip with a barcode.

  5. Redeem on the next bill

Type the code in the voucher box on the POS. The balance comes off the bill and any remaining balance stays on the code.

FAQ

Questions shop owners ask

How do loyalty points work in RichPOS?

You decide how many rupees of shopping earn one point and how much one point is worth. When you bill a customer, points are added to their account. On a later bill the cashier sees the balance and can use points, which come off the payable amount.

Can offers apply automatically at the counter?

Yes. Create the offer once with its dates. While it is running, the POS applies it to every bill that qualifies and shows it under Payable, so cashiers don't have to remember it. The server checks the amount again before saving.

What kinds of offers can I run?

Two kinds: a percentage off when the bill is above an amount (for example 5% off above ₹2,000), and buy X get Y free on items. Each offer has a name, start and end dates, and an on/off switch.

Can I sell gift vouchers?

Yes. Issue a gift voucher with an amount; it gets a code like GV-7KQ2M and a printed slip with a barcode. Selling a voucher does not create a sale bill, so your stock and GST reports stay clean. The customer redeems it on any later bill.

Can I give a credit note instead of cash on a return?

Yes. Issue a credit note to the customer, optionally against the bill number. It works like a voucher: the code is entered on the next bill and the balance comes off.

Do gift vouchers sold for cash show in my day close?

Yes. Gift vouchers sold for cash are counted in the expected cash in the drawer, and those sold by UPI or card are listed separately.
